summer, that is ..
2 weeks and counting. the calendar is quickly filling up with appointments, open houses, and various other activities .. the to-do list is getting longer by the second and I’ve finally come out of denial. It’s time. Time to dig out the school supply lists, fill out forms, choose first-day-of-school outfits, and enjoy every last second of the next 14 days. August 6 will be here before we know it.

The challenge of the week is shapes .. and I couldn’t find anything more shapely than this picture of a sno-cone maker from this weekend’s Louisville Bats game.
not bad, not bad at all …
today was grocery day … and for the first time in quite a little while, I went armed with a list and a pile of coupons. I shopped the sale, and cut back on the amount of crap I’ve been buying this summer.
I saved over $50 
not bad, considering my coupon pile has shrunk to next to nothing and the list was LONG.
excuse me while I hide some of my treats … my kids will eat them if I don’t! LOL

jon & kate .. the end?
I was looking through some old posts yesterday, trying to figure out when I first blogged about Jon & Kate Gosselin. Looks like it was July 8 2008 and I didn’t love them or the show. A year later, that part is still true. I’ve never understood the devotion to Kate…. I am amazed at the lengths some people will go to to defend her and the choices she’s made.
TLC is promising a lame attemtpt to get viewers life-changing announcement on Monday. There’s a lot of speculation that Jon & Kate will tell the world they’re getting a divorce. They need to do that on TV? And it will take an hour? Kate does have a tendency to repeat information 2 or 3 times each show, and if it is a divorce announcement .. Kate will have to sell the viewers on Kate Plus 8, because I don’t believe she’s giving up the gravy train show anytime soon.
Someone let me know how it turns out. I’ll be watching The Bachelorette.
